Section 304 was amended in 2011 to exclude the defence (save in circumstances of a most extreme and exceptional character) in the case of the unlawful killing of the accused's domestic partner where the sudden provocation is “based on anything” done by the deceased, or anything the accused believes the deceased has done, to end or to change the nature of the relationship or to indicate in any way that the relationship may, should or will end or change.

Not proud of it, but that's the fact.Facts: The appeal concerned the partial defence of provocation, which operates to reduce what would otherwise be murder to manslaughter, under s 304(1) of the Criminal Code (Qld). Allover, it was enjoyable enough and I'll probably read the others from this series. The performance was pretty good, all things considered. I found the constant references embarrassing and overused, and would have preferred to read the story of an original character without the references. We have light blue lingerie, which sure, is no ball gown, but we get the idea. We have Cindy, Arial, Belle, Eric, Beast and Princeton James Charming. But absolutely everything in this book is a replica of the fairytales, which I found overused and kind of lazy in terms of developing an original character. The overuse of fairytale references is in short, the very worst thing about this novel. This novel rides on titillation alone, so if you want a short and fun read, then this is a good one for you. Very cheesy and terrible writing other than the ah, intimate scenes. This book is really just what you think it'll be.

Every time they bring up the stripping it distracts me from the story and just forces me to think "Would this really embarrass you at this point" or " why would you pay so much for these strippers when you can get the same thing from a PG 13 movie for pennies." Every other aspect of this book is very adult and I love that but this sort of prudish burlesque that they refer to as stripping pulls me out of the story every time it comes up and since its a main focus of the story I have to stop alot. The story also makes a big point to show that its okay to do whatever you need or want to do and that if you enjoy something you should do it regardless of what others think. The books make a large deal about the 3 main women choosing to become "strippers" to help make ends meet. It does have one "fatal" flaw that severely distracted me every time it went back to this point. This book has all three but in a much tamer way than what I remember from the her. If you've ever read a Tara Sivec book you know to expect funny sarcastic characters, odd situations and lots of swear words. I'll start by saying I generally enjoyed this book and the series as a whole. But can structured Cindy approach a stripper pole without sanitizing wipes?
